We used
God's Word as the guide for developing our connection
process. In Genesis 18:13-16 we read that when
Moses was struck with the awesome responsibility of
caring for thousands of Israelites, he was given wise
advice by his father-in-law. He was told to
break up the large group into smaller groups and place
a godly leader in charge of each. The
"large" had to become "small" for
better organization, accountability and
community. One man could not lead the greater
group, but many leading smaller groups, could
accomplish much.
At Pacific Baptist Church we are doing the very same
thing by both growing larger and smaller at the same
time. Small groups exist to connect people
relationally. |
