First Southern Baptist Church of El Segundo was organized May 17, 1959 with 53 members. 

The meetings were being held at the Women's Club at Mariposa and Standard Streets in El Segundo, then in the old State Theater building, and finally the members were able to purchase a church at 859 Main Street, in El Segundo. 

September 13, 1970, First Southern Baptist Church of El Segundo became officially renamed 

Pacific Baptist Church

May 17th of this year we will be celebrating our 49th year in EL Segundo.
